Lee does an extraordinary job of providing readers with a dogs-eye view of the world. RED DAWG is an irresistible and wholly believable character who just makes you want to go out and SAVE everything...and hug EVERYONE!.
A high-interest, moving tale for all ages...including us "adult" kids.

Elizabeth Lee does a brilliant job of allowing readers to experience vicariously the world of a little "DAWG" searching for himself. RED DAWG's point of view is spot on and authentic. It is difficult in a brief review to convey the beauty and power of this book. Perhaps the best compliment I could pay it is to relate what one of my children (who is not normally known for her verbal expression) said about it after listening to a read-aloud: "It was like I was looking out through Red Dawg's eyes. The world looks different now."

A RED DAWG's TALE is an appealing, educational, and heartfelt book perfect for story time. Lee's artwork, done in primary acrylics, is full of action and energy.
